I've done tons of meaty setups for Mika in the past, but this video is specifically tailored around F+HP and how they fair against delayed wakeup (all these setups have something that cover the quick rise timings as well)

F+HP has 10 frames of startup and is +3 on block. It also is active for 3 frames so depending on which active frame it hits on the frame data on block can vary from +3 to +6.

Do remember that invincible reversal can blow through these meaty F+HP setups but for the most part these should be helpful to players as they a very helpful for me. Mix these up with throws and you should be fine!



Setup 1:

Land a brimstone, dash up and input regular throw then dash up again and input F+HP and it should connect meaty
(the regular throw covers the quick rise)

Setup 2:

Land a Brimstone, dash up and input Cr.LK then whiff a St.HP then input F+HP and it should connect meaty
(the Cr.LK is to cover the quick rise)

Setup 3:

Land a Brimstone in the corner, whiff a Cr.LP then input F+HP then whiff a Cr.MP and then input a 2nd F+HP and it should connect meaty
(the first F+HP covers the quick rise)

Setup 4:

Combo into Wingless Airplane, dash up and input Cr.LK, whiff a St.HP then input F+HP and it should connect meaty
(the Cr.LK covers the quick rise. This sequence for the delayed wakeup is the same as setup 2)

Setup 5:

Combo into Shooting Peach (any version except EX), dash up and input St.MK, whiff a St.HP then input F+HP and it should connect meaty
(the St.MK covers both normal and back recovery. However on normal recovery if the opponent blocks and has a 3f button then they can punish accordingly)
