Shadow Bug is a new kind of platformer game for mobile with emphasis on adventure and speedrunning. The control scheme of the game is specifically designed for touch screens. You play as Shadow Bug and try to stop the evil factory from polluting your forest home. You do this by tapping on enemies and slicing them to pieces.

Action

The core of Shadow Bug is the way you move around in the game world. Tap on an enemy on the screen to leap and slash with lightning speed. Attack multiple enemies one after the other to move through levels in the slickest way you could imagine. Enemies in Shadow Bug are more of a tool of getting where you need to go than a threat – but be careful, they do bite if you let them!

Adventure

Since Shadow Bug is a game with free movement to all directions, it needs a rich world filled with exploration. Shadow Bug’s adventure takes the player through beautiful and twisted hand crafted levels. The challenges vary from dodging spinning blades among treetops to solving puzzles in underground tunnels of toxic waste. Not to mention the memorable boss fights.

The fairytale like world of Shadow Bug comes to life with gorgeous multilayered parallax backgrounds. These colorful and picturesque landscapes are contrasted with the mystical silhouettes of vividly animated game characters.
