GAME INFO:
Shadow Force is a 2D side-scrolling beat 'em-up game that puts players in the shoes of either ninja Kai, swordfighter Blunet, muscleman Tengu or beastman Coyote. The human race is threatened by dr. Wong and his Teaser organization. And now it’s up to you to stop him and his evil organization.
As you make progress you encounter over twenty different enemies. These include soldiers, samurais, blobs that take your form, monsters and bosses. You have the ability to transform in to these enemies and fight in their form. Between the stages you play a versus fighting game and the order of the first three stages is free to choose. Along the way health can be replenished by consuming food. The game can be played solo or with a friend.
GAME RECORDING INFO:
The game was emulated at Retroarch, using MAME core. It was integer scaled to 4k, without bi-linear filtering, and retaining the original aspect ratio (display aspect ratio, not internal resolution). And captured using shader / filter that simulates the image of a CRT monitor screen. I also use a bezel above the game, with a image of arcade machines, to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
