I love this game so much! As a huge fan of Koudelka, it blew my mind when I played Shadow Hearts for the first time and noticed the connections! I had no idea they were related, and bought SH on a whim because it seemed cool. I really miss moments like that.

While not a sequel in name, Shadow Hearts is definitely a follow up to Koudelka. The battle system has definitely changed, but the horror-themed goodness continues!
