Shadow Hearts is one of the darkest, most mature RPGs I’ve ever played. This is a JRPG that was not a sheep. It did not follow the crowd and instead, gained its massive cult following on it unique elements which still stand strong today. It is also the perfect foundation for its sequel: Shadow Hearts: Covenant, which is to me, one of the best RPGs ever.
