Non-interactive part of the early 'playable demo' of "Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet" from September 1992.
Note the city name was then ISTHMUTH (INNSMOUTH in the books, ILLSMOUTH in the release version of the game). And HPL does not appear in the final game.

Demo was splitted in this non-interactive presentation and a short playable zone. You can press space to switch from one part to the other one.

Game published by Infogrames in 1993 for PC MS-DOS (floppy version).
An enhanced CD-ROM edition (with full english voiceover, new mouse-based interface, longer opening and 'virtual Lovecraft Museum' ) was released in 1994 for PC MS-DOS.
Also released in Japan for PC-98 in 1995 by Electronic Arts Victor.
