First I was thrilled by this game, then I was frustrated by it, then I was broken by it.
I didn't even know this game existed a few days ago. It's a confident remake
of the classic 90's ninja action platformer with an amazing pixel art design, that adds, new ninja weapons and a revamped two weapon power up system.
I love this game as much as I hate it, but I definitely recommend it to retro gamers, at least if a million small problems don't annoy you. The character movement is both quick and stuck in the 90's. The Jump sucks, every attack has animation lock, the enemies are placed in precarious positions, systematically designed to annoy you, and you will have to slowly learn from your mistakes as you memorize, find your footing and eventually win the day.
Shadow the ninja reborn is a great model for those looking to remake the old games of our youth.
The run is basically, stage 1-4 fun, stage 5 and 6 a nightmare. I come one hit away from death getting saved by a fish in the final stage. Enjoy the run and a bit of my misery. #gaming #ninja #platformer #retrogaming #remake
