75In Shadow of the Tomb Raider you can get three different optional pieces of equipment that are required for getting %100 completion but nothing else. They open some optional doors and chests, but you can complete the game without them. If you want them and can't seem to find them, here's a quick summary of where to get them:

-KNIFE UPGRADE - found in the market in the HIDDEN CITY
-LOCKPICK and ROPE ASCENDER - Sold by outcast woman in the HIDDEN CITY. She can be found by performing the side quest offered by the kid sitting across the bridge by the river. You pass by him when you first tour the city, he's hard to miss.
-LOCKPICK can open TREASURE CHESTS.
-ROPE ASCENDER can open strong ROPE BARRIERS.
