COMMENTS:
1) In combat, roll the creature's CR at the same time you roll the avatar's... otherwise the avatars can make their shard and mastery choices with knowledge of the creature's CR prior to theirs.
2) Shard harvesting... avatars get 1d* colorless shard for each life point the creature had and also get 1 colored shard for each ability the creature possessed (the shard color will match the ability color).
