After less than two years together. Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rogers have officially called off their engagement. Following a whirlwind romance and sudden proposal. a source has told People magazine that the couple have chosen to part ways. explaining why their relationship didn't work out. 'They're very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn't surmount. They will remain friendly; there's no bad blood and no drama. It just didn't work out for them.' From the outside. the couple appeared to be going strong. However. reports that the pair weren't working arose in late January. stating that Woodley and Rodgers' differing political beliefs caused the breakdown of their relationship. For Rodgers. the Green Bay Packers quarterback sparked controversy when he revealed that he isn't vaccinated against COVID 19. Meanwhile. the 30 year old actress has always been a vocal environmental activist. to the point that she was even arrested during the Dakota Access Pipeline protest. 'They are not talking about their politics. and they never really have.' the source told the publication. 'They disagreed on a lot of things. Early on. they decided to agree to disagree about things and not debate them.' 'She is not someone whose mind you can change. so Aaron hasn't even tried.' the source added. Back in December. People magazine claimed that Woodley and Rodgers' relationship was on a different page than most other couples. claiming that their partnership was 'non traditional'. 'They have a different. non traditional relationship.' a source claimed. adding that Woodley's social media silence on Rodgers' birthday wasn't a sign of trouble in their relationship. 'Shailene and Aaron are still together.' the source said. 'It's not odd they don't post about each other on their birthdays in that sense. [they] are very private about things.'
