Now for something a little more bizarre (regarding the video, not the game itself): I stumbled across this disk numerous times in the last couple of weeks while I was doing other Amiga videos.
Since there is no intro or attract mode for this game, only a title/loading picture without sound or music, I needed more footage to make it worth an upload.

Shanghai was very successful back in the 80s, selling more than 500,000 copies across numerous systems and for the Amiga in particular it was ranked no. 44 on Amiga Power's 'Best Amiga games of all time' list in 1991.

Anyway, check out the nice surprise at the end. Ending a game like it's 1986.

Today's iterations of this kind of game have more bells and whistles but to be honest the core of the game is pretty much intact here and still very playable. This title even received an arcade release in Japan. I'm not sure how well it was received since it was already available on numerous home computers and consoles when it went Coin Op in 1988.
