Battle Chess (Amiga 50Hz) - One complete game AI vs. AI (3D Board / Level 4)
For all the combat animations check out my playlist for this game here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTEEa2-9mZ7bCykNs7M0xVXK2p2QuUcNR
Now this is, like Shanghai, a rather well known and popular game that is missing any form of intro or attract mode. It's just the loading/title picture. So I needed some gameplay footage of this one too if I didn't want to skip it completely.
I'm not good enough at this game so I'll let the Amiga handle the presentation.
The game was set just to difficulty level 4 but the CPU moves already took an eternity. About 60 minutes worth of CPU thinking time were cut for this one game
And this is on a rather beefy rig with turbo board. There is an option to force the CPU to make the best move it found by the time you select this option but I didn't interfere on this one.
I think it's pretty safe to say that this sort of game requires a lot of raw processing power, something that's not a trademark of the Amiga series of home computers.
