Sam Shankland scored an extremely important win in the eighth round when he managed to beat Rauf Mamedov on board four. This helped team USA score a 2.5-1.5 victory of the Azeri team. After the match we caught up with Sam and asked him about the game. We also asked him about how he managed to keep his cool in such a stressful situation. Finally, we tell him about Anish Giri calling him a weak link in team USA and what does he think about the same. Check Sam's reply in the interview.
