Eugh. This was painful to do, simply because the nearest save point to Lost Catacombs is a least a minute and a half from the actual dungeon. That extra unnecessary millage has taken a toll on me.
Lost Catacombs isn't a difficult dungeon for all it's worth. A few bad spots here and there, the majority of fails here was due to sheer impatience, and/or lack of attention mine.
Squid Baron is something, though. If you don't know how to position yourself in this fight you'll get hit a lot. The first phase is simple enough: he bounces thrice, stops, *maybe* eat to recover, jumps three times in three specific spots.
The second phase is more complicated. You have to break his mechanical shell via Scimitar and then Squid Baron will dash and bounce three times (or eat a meal), after that he repeats his jump cycle, except this time he jumps three times - much faster - in the same place before going for the next one. You can stay in a corner to avoid having to position yourself perfectly or guess where he'll go (which is obviously far more dangerous). After that he will either eats a meal (if he hadn't before) OR charge again.
The fight comes down to be aware Squid Baron can either heal himself before dashing. Play safe and you should get that Calamari Connoisseur achievement.
