In Sharka's QuickBytes, I'll be taking a bite-sized (byte-sized?) look at retro games, usually several per video when I'm covering a particular series or theme. There will be more editing and shorter and more scripted commentary in QuickBytes than in the laid-back Nostalgic Nibbles series and most vids won't be longer than ten minutes - perfect for a quick blast of Sharka-themed retro goodness.

Long before Silent Hill with its evocative dread and Resident Evil with its campy jump scares, there were a few games that spooked a young sharka. Neither of the other two, however, held a candle to how frightening I found the star of this new QuickBytes episode.

And yet, I never stopped playing it.

Dedicated to my partner, supportive in all the things I do and taking a retro journey alongside me, one I'm very happy to be able to share with her.
