I finally went ahead and grabbed the DLC for the game, which includes the Fiends we know and love! First of them being the infamous noob killer, Matador! He dwells next to the Tamachi Leyline in Minato after you grabbed the first Menorah by talking to Sophia after acquiring the DLC.

If you've played SMTIII, you know what to expect, Matador starts the fight with his signature Red Capote buffing his Agility by two levels, but he won't reapply it after it runs out, it would seem, so be sure to use Sukunda among other debuffs. He also loves using Mazan so having a demon that blocks Force will help you greatly, or the Nahobino himself with the right affinities.
Once he gathers Magatsuhi, be prepared for the upcoming Andalucia, throw a Phys Dampener if you can spare it, or just Guard to reduce damage.

Or, if you're a bit overleveled like I was, annihilate him with an all-out assault by exploiting his weakness to Elec before he gets a chance to use it.
