Apologies for the rambling, I'll try to be more concise on my thoughts in the future.

Loved the gameplay, combat felt a bit derivative but has advantages in simplicity of weapon choice, fluidity of parrying, and authenticity to its 2D predecessors. Movement felt INCREDIBLY fluid, best part of the game by far even if the control scheme felt a bit wonky. Atmosphere and graphics were solid considering the limitations of Switch hardware, and the soundtrack worked well to solidify the immersion of being on ZDR. Soundtrack fell flat outside of that, but that wasn't a huge issue for me. Lore was great, just wanted more of it in the form of optional content. Dialogue was used sparingly for high effectiveness which worked wonderfully, especially when paired with the Chozo language and Samus's brief, but impactful lines; voice actress nailed the rage roar. Raven Beak felt like a solid antagonist despite him coming in largely out of nowhere; represented everything Samus was fighting against (plus his design and boss battle were awesome). LOVED the Metroid Suit.

If Dread gets DLC I'm hoping for an Expert Mode (not just raw damage increase for enemies like in Hard Mode) and a return to time-based suit unlocks. (Please MercurySteam, at least let us use the Fusion Suit.) Also hoping for more lore content, but I know that's a pipe dream.
