hey lads! this may come as a surprise, because i promised that my next one would be a completely different musical!

that plan is still in action. however, it's over 3 minutes long, so i wanted make the upload gap smaller by giving y'all a short one. i'm going a liiil out of order with this, but i still need to figure out which heathers songs i'll do lol. i had a lot of fun with this one tho :D

some notes:
1. a lot of people draw heatherduke in this song as 100% imaginary, but i made it more ambiguous. little things like how she quickly she got from the top of the stall to the front or breaking the fourth wall allude to her being heathermac's inner demons rather than literal.
2. also the 'someone' in the top desc is referring to veronica, who's the only other real person in the animatic. :3c
3. there are a loooot of references to my original 'beautiful' animatic, aside from the obvious one (same bathroom)
4. i actually like heatherduke a lot! she's just one green grape on the vine of countless flawed characters in heathers. i'm love my underrated asian queen
5. the last moment is probably one of my favorite frames lmao
6. some people wonder why my duke/mac looked swapped, and here's the thing - when i came up with my designs for the heathers, i looked at like one (1) reference picture and then came up with hair/body types on the fly. in chandler/duke/mcnamara order, i did tallest to shortest, highest to lowest hair tie, stuff like that. sharp angles are usually more antagonistic, so i gave duke the triangle motif. i didn't even consider canon accuracy until i finished the first animatic. :0 so, in conclusion, that's how these little fanon details came to be. (also duke isn't chubby in the musical. pretty sure that was a fandom headcanon)
