Shining Force: The Legacy Of Great Intention - Full Game Playthrough
3Shining Force is the 1992 sequel to Shining In The Darkness, a dungeon crawler that was released for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive a year prior and developed by Japan's Climax Entertainment. While both titles are of the RPG genre, Shining Force 1 takes the gameplay in the direction of strategy, having control of 12 unlockable characters on the battlefield and levelling up over time. Eventually characters are able to be promoted following level 10, gaining more powerful weapons and new spells.
We play as the titular character canonically known as 'Max' in his quest to defeat Darksol and stop his plan of bringing back Dark Dragon, an evil deity cast away from the world millenia ago. We start in the small town of Guardiana just before its invasion and head through eight long chapters to finally reach Runefaust, meeting many different characters and battling many dark hordes of enemies along the way.
A huge thanks for checking this video out, being my first time completing this game, I did end up missing some cool unlockables such as the characters of Zylo & Domingo & the secret outfits for Tao & Anri, everything other than that is shown. This version of Shining Force is the enhanced mod, available on the Steam Workshop and made for its Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Classics port from the late 2010's, sadly this collection was delisted from steam but the mods can still be downloaded.
