Shining In The Darkness Playthrough part 13 ( Labyrinth Floor 5 1/2)
The thirteenth part of my playthrough of Shining in the Darkness.
The monsters in the last part can be quite nasty but with the help of the Light Blade you should be able to burst down most of them though depending on resistances you might need to add a fair bit of extra damage. as a tip if your hero reaches 120 speed you should be safe to give him the Light Blade as almost nothing is faster than that.
Hellhound's don't have anything to really worry about and their hp is low for this point so they might never get to attack, if they do they have a chance to double attack.
Centaurian have enough hp to take a Bolt 3 so make sure you have another attack to take out the rest of their hp, if they do get a turn they have sort of high attack but don't do anything of note.
Gargoyle are another basic enemy and don't have too much health making it easy to take them down before they get a turn.
Graveroc can do a lot of damage if they get a turn with a wing flap that functions like blast 4, they don't have a lot of hp so a bolt 3 might be enough though make use of Pyra's whip to be safe.
Chimera have hp in the range to be easy to take out, however if they do get a turn they have a freezing breath attack that can hit for around sixty damage to the entire party.
Collossus have a lot of hp as well as high attack and defence though the lack of resistance to Bolt 3 means they are easy enough to take out, if they do get a turn then they might use their special ability to throw a boulder at a single party member for high damage.
Ghoul are another easy foe and with the only ability they have is to inflict poison.
Dragonfyre have a nasty ability to breath fire that inflicts around one hundred and twenty damage to every party member and have enough hp to require at least another attack so a Freeze 4 should be enough to make up any damage the Light Blade's Bolt 3 can't do.
Warhorse have a lot of hp but don't really do anything other than attack so deal with them how you want.
Deathpaw have just enough hp to require a bit of mp to make sure you kill them , if they do get a turn they can use muddle to take away you ability to control your party and beat you down with their two attacks a turn.
Lokjaw have a decent amount of hp again requiring mp to secure a kill, if they do get a turn they have decent attack and the ability to silence your party with Screen.
Kamiliun again have a decent amount of hp and attack though do have an ability to attack twice per turn if you let them.
Demonesk have decent hp and the ability to unleash an ice breath that can hit for as high as one hundred and forty five damage to everyone, they also seem to be resistant to Bolt so make sure not to hold back against them.
Ragnarock have quite an impressive hp and attack if you let them get a turn they can inflict a lot of damage even with their basic attack.
Serpi have slightly less hp than the other foes around this point though don't let that fool you they have a resistance to Bolt 3 and have the ability to use Desoul to instantly kill a party member.
as expected there is another mini-boss
Guardian are powered up Sentinels though by this point they are nothing too nasty just do what you normally do for mini-bosses
and now for the special enemy while it's treated as a normal monster they are anything but.
Crystal Ooze are a special enemy with a few traits no other enemy has, they have only three hp but have insane magic resistance taking only one damage at most from spells and you might not do anything at all, to make the situation worse they are hard to hit with physical attacks avoiding most of your efforts but thats not all they have two spells to hit you with being Freeze 4 and Muddle two letting them take away your ability to fight back while battering your party, if that wasn't bad enough they can call in a random monster to add to the chaos, thankfully they have a twenty five percent chance to flee every turn and if you do kill even one they will give you a massive amount of xp handing out a insane thirty thousand xp per ooze slain. if you have any of the power items , the Shock Box, Earth Hammer, Black Box and Ogre Flute though you likely won't have any of them making your best choice the random nature of the Forbidden Box.
