Shining In The Darkness Playthrough Part 9 (Labyrinth floor 3 1/2)
The ninth part of my playthrough of Shining in the Darkness and the start of the longest and arguably most difficult floor in the game.
Tommyhawk have a high attack stat but otherwise are pretty easy to deal with as thier only other ability is to guard.
Grim Specter are the upgraded version of the Reaper enemy from the last floor, being able to kill a character outright with desoul 1 though to make them a little more of a pain to deal with they seem to be immune to Screen.
Hellknight aside from attack and defence these enemies don't have any nasty tricks at their disposal making them less of a threat after a couple of extra levels.
Battle Oxe are the one enemy you do not want to encounter many of in the early part of floor three as not only do they have very high attack when you first encounter them but they have a special ability to unleash an icy breath on the party dealing around thirty damage per enemy, while far from the nastiest thing you have encountered by this point will wear you down for the later parts of this long floor, something you want to avoid if you can.
Mad Tut is another enemy that shouldn't be too much of a problem, while they can hit decently hard they are nothing compared to some of the other enemies even in the early part, their special ability is to cast slow 2 to weaken your party's defence if it lands you can undo it's effect with a casting of the quick 2 spell if you need to.
Bloodroosters have a pretty high attack stat though for some reason have the lowest hp on the floor, still watch out for their paralyzing glare and the chance of there basic attack inflicting paralysis as well.
Living Dead have high attack power but thats about all they have going for them as their special ability is to sprinkle poison powder, use sleep if you need to and just beat them down.
This floor even has a nice boss just waiting to block your progress and wear you down even more.
Shellbeast is far from an intimidating boss proving nothing more than a irritation and a reason to take two trips to reach the next floor, it has decent hp for a boss type enemy but not the highest hp on the floor and has a pretty high defence stat, it only ever attacks with a flame breath that deals around sixty damage a turn to everyone, just boost up your physical attackers and heal damage as needed and it should fall without much issue.
