Shining In The Darkness Playthrough Part 12 ( Labyrinth Floor 4 2/2)
The twelfth part of my playthrough of Shining in the Darkness.
Lancerot is slightly worse than Gollums are statwise however they have a pretty cruel combination of both Slow 2 and the ability to attack twice per round letting them inflict a lot of damage if you don't deal with them quickly, thankfully they have no resistance to the Bolt 3 so take advantage of the Light Blade to deal with them quickly.
Hobgoblin are really nothing to worry about, while their attack is decently high they have pretty terrible other stats for this point making them easy prey for a bolt 3 spell.
and it wouldn't be a floor without some mini-bosses
Handeater is a little odd for a mini-boss as it has really low hp for a mini-boss however it's other stats more than make up for it with the highest attack and defence on the floor as well as a freezing cloud that can hit for around eighty damage and the ability to howl in pain attempting to instantly kill each of your party member, The best way to handle them is a quite physical offence so use boost 1 on Milo and hope he has enough damage to kill it in a single blow.
Bildblok are quite nasty with high hp, good attack and impressive defence they can take a bit of a beating and they can release a freezing gas inflicting around a massive one hundred and thirty damage, make use of boost and quick then keep yourself in good health and you should make it through.
Syren are an enemy I never encounter in my playthrough but they have almost as much hp as Bildblok with worse defence but higher attack, speed and can attack twice as well as the ability to cast muddle 1 and spew a paralysing mist making it impossible for you to control your party while they beat you down, however sleep does seem to work on them so if needed you can turn the tables on them taking away their actions.
and as if all those foes wasn't enough pain for you there is a boss waiting for you just past the cell so if you have been using the Light Blade for it's Bolt 3 make sure to give it to your hero otherwise your loosing important damage.
Dark Knight is a step above anything you have fought by this point so start the fight by having Milo cast quick 1 on himself to reduce the odds of your healer going down while setting up Boost 1 on your hero after that Quick 1 Pyra to keep her ability to act as a secondary healer in the fight while she heals anyone who is on the lowest hp then finaly get the quick on your hero if he hasn't been downed by a crit yet, after that just look at the damage numbers and play accordingly.
The Dark knight has less attack than the Handeater and slightly less defence than the Bildblok however his speed is unmatched and depending on level might even outspeed Milo which is another reason to get quick on him as soon as you can, if you entered the fight with high mp you can take advantage of heal 4 as a panic healing option and you might need to revive someone if the Dark knight decides he wants them dead.
once you save the princess you might want to just leave the labyrinth however if you do chose to stick around you might see the princess decide to join in on the combat for a whole one point of damage with the worst part being she is faster than the hero.
