Tiers is the only way to change the characters weapons, through synthesis you make the weapons evolve, there are 4 levels in total, you have to level up your characters up to some levels to unlock them.

Lv.1 is the standar equipment, you start with this.
Lv.2 after Lv.10
Lv.3 after Lv.30
Lv.4 after Lv.40
