1The Eastern half of Japan holds the last of the old ways. The Nasu and the Oura. Both clans at first were natural enemies. Both had fought and won against numerous opponents for mere survival. Were it not for the growing threat to the south of Japan, the Oura and Nasu would have inevitably fought each other to a standstill.
Now however, they are prepared for a long and bloody conflict that Japan would take almost a century to recover from. The seas would become a graveyard. Sharks would come to infest the coast for years. The land would burn. Whole towns and castles would be left in ruin and ashes for decades, never to be disturbed for the fear of those who perished would rise again to haunt any foolish traveller.
Japan would die before it could live again.
