Short Film Spotlight: Love At First Bite (2018) PILOT - TYTD Valentines Special 2022

Happy Valentines day! we're all ill. thats all I have to say. Originally this was supposed to be a Comedy Dining Experience Valentines day special commentary for "Tammy and the T-Rex" but unfortunately my partner has been ill with "The Deadly Virus" through a good chunk of January, and when we finally managed to get a date together to get something recorded in February *I* came down with something (not "The Deadly Virus" mercifully) which has basically put paid to us doing anything this Valentines *BOO!*
SO! instead I thought this would be a good opportunity to share something a bit special with you guys. At least once...maybe twice a year I work on ideas for new content/shows to add to the channel. Some stick like "The Comedy Dining Experience" and my various video essays. others sadly dont. Occasionally for the ones that dont, it'll even get to the "Pilot" stage where im actually making episodes ready to go out before having to pull the plug. This is one such example.
Short Film Spotlight was originally developed in 2018 as a way to do short form reviews AND to cover Short films. I love shorts and really wanted the opportunity to cover more of them so this seemed like the perfect idea. This show was supposed to be fortnightly and 4 episodes were finished before pulling the plug. The main reason was time constraints honestly, as I got further and further into making these episodes the scripts got longer and longer and the editing more and more complex until, basically, I was running equal to, if not *Slightly* less than, my workload for my main channel reviews. and it started to impact my main channel reviews by bloating the workload.
So. I had to stop them, I'd just taken on a little bit too much. around the same time I started work on "The Comedy Dining Experience" and that show, while not solving my "short form content" remit problem, was a lot easier to edit and generally a more enriching, less hands on experience. The rest they say...is history.
So! Happy Valentines day 2022! may the chocolate of love melt on your pillow and leave you confused as to whether it's chocolate or poop! salut!
