So, I went into this thinking this would be as short as the Phoenix Wright part, MAYBE a bit shorter, meaning about 2-3 parts worth recording.

NOPE says the game.

This entire part covers everything that happens with Layton while Phoenix Wright investigates... and it is hardly anything. If I didn't have any puzzles to solve it would have pretty much been point A to point B.
