I show you the shortest most straightforward bicycle route ride from Waikiki to Diamond Head Crater. The bike ride starts at the corner of (Kalakaua Avenue and Kapahulu Avenue), all the way to inside of Diamond Head Crater. And a look around of what's inside there.

Official Diamond Head State Monument reservations system:

Recently they have a reservation system for tourists as to limit the number of people going hiking on Diamond head crater to preserve the nature of the hike trail. I also show what the signs at Diamond Head crater said about their open and close times and a look around relaxing the park inside the crater.

Diamond Head Crater is an ancient volcanic crater that was formed about 300,000 years ago during a single, explosive eruption. It is located near the eastern edge of Waikiki's coastline. Inside the crater, there is a historic hiking trail that leads to the summit of the crater, where you can enjoy stunning views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, you can see some of the military history of Diamond Head, such as bunkers, a fire control station, and a navigational lighthouse that were built in the early 1900s. The hike is steep and strenuous, so you need to be prepared with water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. If you are a non-resident, you'll need to make a reservation and pay an entry and parking fee to access the park.
