As requested by Roronoa79, here's a cover of Shostakovich's Symphony No. 6 with the Mother 3 soundfont. Unfortunately, this is the only movement of this symphony that I can cover at this time.
The Sixth Symphony's finale is marked "Presto" and thus moves relentlessly forward at breakneck speed. As a notable point to gamers, a subsidiary theme (0:31-0:43) heard not long after beginning was borrowed for "Unfounded Revenge", one of the most well-known and memorable battle tracks from Mother 3.
After a while, the movement shifts gears for a contrasting episode, turning into a waltz-like dance (1:41).
Despite its somewhat proud stride, it eventually escalates until the point of collapse, heralding yet another episode (2:52). This one showcases the woodwinds quite prominently and even contains a violin (an accordion here) solo (3:29).
Said soloist eventually takes us right back to a reprise of the finale's opening music (3:43). Delightfully, the "Unfounded Revenge" theme makes a return as well (4:15).
Not long afterward, the melody from the waltz-like episode is played by the horns (4:56) in a thoroughly transformed rendition. The rest is a joyous and carnival-like romp all the way to the finish line.
Right before the end (5:45), the aforementioned transformed melody gets the spotlight, leading the symphony to an irresistibly exhilarating and fun conclusion.
