Should Nintendo & SEGA make REAL Cartridges again?
Vinyl records are back in a big way, and to their devoted fans they never went away.
I'm here today to talk about the resurgence of vinyl records and how it has inspired the idea of Nintendo and Sega making real cartridges again.
Now why the heck am I going on about vinyl records on this YouTube channel? Well, I think that Nintendo and Sega should start manufacturing retro video game systems and cartridges again.
One of the advantages of vinyl is the personal act of finding the album that you want to play, taking it out of the sleeve, setting it on the turntable and putting the needle on the record. Both video game cartridges and vinyl records are physical things that you can touch. They are the physical embodiment of the time that you've spent with that particular creative work.
But what if Nintendo and Sega were to start making real cartridges again? I think it would be a huge hit with fans. Not only would it be a cool way to collect classic games, but it would also be a way to experience them in a more tangible way.
