Overall, should you buy darkest dungeon 2? If you are anticipating darkest dungeon 1.5, I would watch a lot of general gameplay and read reviews. The game is definitely nothing like that first one minus the same heroes and skills on some people. The creators definitely went for a quicker gameplay and less hard in my opinion. In the early access pre patch I beat the first run with 3 heroes and it was my second try technically. If you like the town building, upgrading of skills, armor, weapons, and trinkets long term, I would stay away in its current iteration. If you don't mind a severe change in gameplay and style, I think this game will have many great moments to offer. I know I will buy it twice when it comes out on steam.
