Should you play Marvel’s Spider-man 2? (NO SPOILERS)

This game is a gift to all spider-man fans, gamers and those who love superhero games in general!! Insomniac yet again killed it they gave us what we wanted!! I don’t think there could be any better sequel than this. Every moment of the story felt like a page from the comic book. The story is another high point. It's engaging, emotional, and full of surprises. The character development and interactions are top-notch, and it genuinely feels like a Spider-Man comic come to life.

If you loved the first game then you will love this one even more. Spider-Man 2 is quite similar to the first game, but dialed up 100 times over. The combat for instance, is fairly more advanced with a new difficulty curve that requires a good bit of skill in order to stay alive on the normal difficulty. Notably, the game is not afraid to throw you into a fast-paced fight with a ton of strong enemies right away, so be prepared for a fight.

The story was phenomenal because it answered all the questions from two previous titles. It all made sense and the new villain was interesting. New villains are introduced to the game but are part of the Spider-Man universe. Each villain gets their respected stories. A lot of events happen in this game and most of it focuses on Peter 75% of the story and Miles gets 25-30% of the story. Although this is fair because Miles Morales had his own game. All in all Insomniac Games meshed the duo together to bring a fun, serious, action packed game that covers all aspects of the universe.

They add many aspects such as a fully fledged out skill tree for both individual Miles and Peter and one combination tree. Here you can level up special abilities and some combos. The aerial combos are well diverse to make the game feel fresh. Not mention you have gadgets that you don’t have to pause time to switch but it’s seamless real time game-play.

The lighting is done well in according to the daylight and even in dark places. The attention to detail in recreating the iconic New York City is unparalleled. The bustling streets, breathtaking skyline, and Spidey's suit, all look so lifelike. Swinging through this beautifully crafted open world is an experience in itself. The day-night cycle and dynamic weather effects add a layer of realism that I never thought possible in a game.

Spider-Man 2 features a number of new enemies such as the hunters, sandmen, symbiote, and classic robbers. There is a boss for each of these enemies except for the robbers. Some bosses will take you by surprise. The amount of bosses in this game put a smile on my face because there was something new to challenge me, and multiple bosses have different phases where they get stronger.

It captures the ability of PS5 perfectly, it is beautiful and is exactly what you would expect it to look like unless you wanted to see a live action movie. I have no big complaints with the game. For me it is worthy of the game of the year award. My only complaint is post main story stuff. After you complete the story although you have things to do but they are all the same and gets repetitive quite often. Otherwise I liked suit customization and other things. I just wish that suit mods would have continued from the previous game and also i wish they would have provided more gadgets than the previous game.

That being said i have no major issues with the game.

Overall i loved it!!!

Basically another sequel knocked out the park by PlayStation Studios.
