Guild Wars 2 is a free to play game. Nobody should tell you "what class" you should or shouldn't play as it is YOUR MONEY you spend in buying the Expansions ( and/ or any other items in gem store along the way ). So, you should be able to play whatever you want without feeling bad about it.

Just have fun and let yourself loose! That's my suggestion as a 30 years + video game player :)
