Hi, this videos tests the Wi-Fi Internet speed of an old VirginMedia Router and compares it to a new TP-Link Archer C3200 to see if the new Router performs better than the old one.
Some people blame their service provider for a bad internet connection when a lot of times it is just a bad Wi-Fi signal and the connection coming into the house might be good.
This video is to test to see if it is worth changing your cheaper service provider Router for a higher quality one to see if it can allow a faster Wi-Fi connection.
The video also shows the unboxing and setting up of the TP-Link Archer C3200.
I perform the test in 6 different locations around my property. I use a phone and a laptop at the same time and perform a speedtest from speedtest.net.
WARNING!!!! In the video the test shows the TP-Link router working outside on my phone, I didn't realise when filming/editing that the phone switched over to the mobile 4G network because it wasn't getting the WiFi signal so you have to ignore the speedtest result on that location. Both the Virginmedia Router and the TP-Link Router did not have enough range to work outside.
Many thanks Vince
