Sigma Microsoft Acquires Beta Activision Blizzard

Today Microsoft has acquired Activision Blizzard for $68.7billion. This could have a massive impact on the future of Overwatch, as doubts over the quality of the teams developing Overwatch 2 were starting to surface. It’s possible with extra funding and better leadership from Microsoft, we could expect a higher quality sequel, as well as more attention to the often labelled “dying” Overwatch of today.
If you were to ask my opinion, I believe this is exactly what Overwatch needs to become a big player in the gaming sphere once again. Microsoft will be sure to flatten out any bad business practices, and Will provided much needed security.
Microsoft may even be able to improve the Overwatch League, as Activision Blizzard’s eSports leagues across their multiple titles can be combined with Microsoft’s (such as Halo etc…) and will be able to attract better sponsors, since Microsoft provides a much safer investment.
