Sigourney Weaver will play a teenager in the Avatar sequel
Most actresses in Hollywood's age-obsessed industry could only dream of pulling off what Alien star Sigourney Weaver has: securing a job playing a character 59 years younger than her.
The 73-year-old actress describes how she got the role of a 14-year-old amphibious extraterrestrial in today's issue of You magazine.
In the original, Weaver portrayed scientist Dr. Grace Augustine but she was killed off.
However, because she was so important to James Cameron, he gave her the role of Kiri, a teenage avatar, in the upcoming movie Avatar: The Way Of Water.
