Hey fiends!! I made another Spooky Hill video Muhahahaha :3

Cynthia Velasquez/Victim 16 by far is my FAV ghost in Silent Hill 4. She is not the scariest, that goes to Richard Braintree/Victim 19 OMG the way he moves is unforgettable like it makes me terrified JESUS. Anyway, Cynthia Velasquez is a character I adore (to be honest I love everything in Silent Hill 1-4 coz Team Silent were amazing) and her ghost is a twisted reflection on the character. Cynthia was beautiful, charming, fun, laid back and sweet. She was someone who wanted to live a life full of joy. Her role in the game is not the biggest but her impact she has is so powerful. It is so depressing that her death was the result of her looks. She was killed because of her beauty. No women deserve to be killed for their looks. Thinking about Cynthia makes me very emotional. Throughout Silent Hill 1-4 you have all sorts of symbolism. Here is Cynthia who died because she was beautiful. I will always love and remember you Cynthia Velasquez. Dammit. I love Team Silent so much. They made games I adore and at the same time make me emotionally drained. They are in my heart forever ;w;

This video inspired by a video called hop.swf. The video itself is very simple and hella cute. There is an anime character hoping in a loop and with each loop the colour of the background changes. How on earth did this inspire me to make a Silent Hill 4 video about Victim 16? In Silent Hill 4 ghosts are very scary and hunt you down. Those ghosts can be evaded however there are special ghosts like Victim 16 who can follow Henry between different areas which makes them SUPER SCARY. So instead of changing the colour of the background why not use the actual areas from the game. In a way I am including a game mechanic into the video. She does not follow Henry in every area, but it is a nice nod to that AMAZINGLY SCARY mechanic!! Plus, it is awesome how videos can inspire other ones. I appreciate the hop.swf video so much c:

This is the first time I tried using the masking effect. It would have looked more cleaner if I used a green screen however with the masking effect, I could intentionally make it imperfect. My goal was to make it look like Victim 16 was entering the dream world. Overall, I am happy with the result. It’s a learning experience. It was fun trying out the masking effect :3
