0I think going with the default combat difficulty (Story) was a mistake, so will up it for next time if I can. Hinako feels way too strong even though I do get hit a ton lol. The enemy here is way less scary than the first one in general though.
Theorizing: So I think this guy is Inari and is so welcoming because he wants to punish Hinako for being a disobedient child basically. Her journal says she's always been like that and he says he's been interested in her for a long time.
Also I'm thinking Junko is another diety or ghost/guardian spirit type thing. Maybe she got killed soon after she was married or "marriage" in this instance means a Fatal Frame style ritual where she got sacrificed to Fox Mask as a bride because she was a perfect feminine woman.
Of course this is supposed to be Silent Hill so it's probably all symbolism for her fear of the gods and societal expectations or something.
