The story in Silent Hill f takes place in the Japanese town of Ebisugaoka which we visit in the 1960s. We end up there as a teenager named Shimizu Hinako. The protagonist has her own problems, but she must also deal with monsters from the fog-covered city.
Silent Hill f is an action adventure game in the psychological horror genre, belonging to the cult series that began in 1999. This project is the result of a collaboration between the Konami company (responsible for the entire brand) and NeoBards Entertainment studio.
In Silent Hill f we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). We push the story forward by exploring the world, solving environmental puzzles, and fighting encountered enemies.
The combat system developed for Silent Hill f is reminiscent of soulslike type productions. We must constantly be on guard and observe the movements of enemies to spot gaps in their defense and opportunities to launch attacks. They may be light ones (fast but weaker) and heavy ones (capable of stunning the enemy), as well as counters and special attacks.
