In the debut episode of Silent Sunday, the NPCs venture back to one of the great classics of video game history, the ever-popular Secret of Monkey Island. Join Guybrush Threepwood, controlled by Luke, as we begin our humble quest to become a famous pirate in the caribbean. In this episode, theme songs are heard, quests are received and the Ghost Pirate LeChuck makes his first appearance!
The Secret of Monkey Island is a "point 'n click" adventure game released originally in 1990 by Lucasarts, created by Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman. The game was re-released in 2009 with updated graphics, audio & newly recorded voice acting, but though the option to play with the original pixel art was available, the new audio only available when playing with the updated graphics. The "Ultimate Talkie Edition" is a mod that combines the audio of Secret of Monkey Island SE with the graphics of the original.
