What's this? A song people might've heard of charted by me? Boy, wasn't this an adventure and a half. Expand the description for more...

I got curious enough to ask in MiloHax (hi lads) about the Power Gig: Rise of the SixString stems (game aside, it's not at all a bad setlist), and seek and ye shall receive, as it were. Now, I love Silversun Pickups a fucking lot, so when I saw "Substitution" on the list, I had to check it out first. These stems were in a funky format and took a bit of working, but eventually (and several builds to get the audio at a decent level later), I finagled them into a usable three-stem arrangement.

I figured, despite the game being crap and the chart being wildly inaccurate, if I were to fix both those things, "Substitution" would be a fairly fun song to play. Not to mention, it's the only SSPU song not to appear in a five-button rhythm game, so if nothing else, it's nice to have them all under one roof.

This is probably the chart I'm yet most proud of. No sync issues to speak of, the lighting's great, the animation work is great (used another reference for the fretmapping! Which also helped me see and fix some of the more wildly inaccurate parts of the chart...), and actually playing that riff confuses me greatly.

Also! This one will be appearing on my marfGH demo, despite the fact that it probably won't go on the final disc. So if modding this game is too wonky or you're having trouble, rest assured I'll have a nice, polished, slick ISO for you to burn or throw into OPL soon enough.

And perhaps more Power Gig ports/customs in the future? I have the entire 6GB of stems downloaded...
