Sim Coupe emulator running on AmigaOS 4
http://hirudov.com presents the Sim Coupe emulator running on AmigaOS 4. Sim Coupe emulates a SAM Coupé - an 8-bit Z80-based home computer released in 1989 by Miles Gordon Technology. Although superior in its capabilities compared to the other 8-bit machines in the market at the time, it didn't succeed in the space, where the 16-bit machines (Amiga, Atari, Macintosh and PC) were already established as a standard. Nevertheless, some great software titles were released for the machine, taking advantage of it's unique sound and graphic capabilities. Thanks to Sim Coupe you can enjoy SAM Coupé software right on your Amiga.
After a short introduction of the menu options of the emulator I play demos of the games Magic Caves, Vegetable Vacation and Splat!. Then I run the MNEMO Demo 1 and MNEMO Demo 2. At the end I run Lyra Mega Demo while showing the capabilities to multitask while the emulator is runnig.
The CPU meter docky at the lower right part of the screen shows what resources are used in the past 2 minutes, showing the utilization of the rather slow for today speeds processor of the microAmigaOne computer. Download the emulator from http://hirudov.com/amiga/SimCoupe.html
All the shown software was provided to me by Simon N Goodwin on the SAM Supplement CD.
