I've been using the Sinden Lightgun for about a week and played with setting it up with a stock RetroPie setup, using RetroArch override files to deal with the gun games. This way you can play other roms as usual.

This is running on a Raspberry Pi 4, RetroPie 4.8.1, RetroArch 1.10.0 with the emulators being the binary version available to RetroPie on 2nd June 2022. I have also installed AttractMode (https://youtu.be/9Tjt0O0s4Y8).

It can take a while to setup the game/core specific files, but is worth it if you want to manage a mixed mode RetroPie image. If anyone wants to run the same image I'll upload a copy with the roms removed (or maybe just the config files).
