This person made a rather ridiculous claim.

"Single player game sales are down." Yeah, plenty of games would disagree with you on that, but I want you guys to look at the games that he cited and see if you can find any common traits. They're all sequels to Sony exclusive or former Sony exclusive games.

Horizon Forbidden West. The first Horizon is really underwhelming to me. So, I have no interest playing this game at all.

God of War Ragnarök. I love God of War 2018, but I do not like this at all. The gameplay is simplified, the story is a mess, and I'm not a fan of where it's heading.

Spider-Man 2. I also love the first one, and even Miles Morales, but I'm not a fan of this one in terms of the story and characters.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I'm not a fan of the remake. So, I have no interest in the continuation of the remake that should've finished the original story then and there, but Square Enix wanted to make it a trilogy. Not only Rebirth sells pretty well on PC right now as far as things considered, but Square Enix committed to not making their games PlayStation exclusive anymore, because it didn't do well as a PS5 exclusive.

Final Fantasy XVI. I actually have lots of interest with this game, and while I do love the story, the characters, and a darker, more mature take on the Final Fantasy series, the gameplay is very lackluster and underwhelming. Not to mention it's a PlayStation 5 exclusive, and Square Enix committed to never making the same mistake again.

As far as single-player games are concerned, Balatro sold millions of copies. Enough said.
