Rules of the Pokémon Duel:

A „Pokémon Duel“ is a unique way to find out which of two Pokémon has the best comprehensive package. To test the full potential in terms of strength, variety and flexibility of a Pokémon, there are some rules how the teams and single Pokémon should look like:

There will be two teams. each team consists of six Pokémon of the same species. For example, if the Pokémon Duel is between RAICHU and CHARIZARD there will be one team full of RAICHUS and one team full of CHARIZARDS. In the case of Raichu, it is only allowed to use the normal Raichu, no Alolan Raichu is allowed here. In the case of Charizard, one Mega Evolution is allowed.

Each move of a Pokémon is only allowed to be used once (e.g. only of the six Raichus is allowed to carry the move „Thunderbolt“). So, every team has 24 different moves (if a Pokémon has less than 24 moves, all existing moves should be used as equally often as possible)

Every ability of a Pokémon must be used in the exact same amount as all other ones:
1. If a Pokémon has three abilites, there is a ratio of 3x2
2. If a Pokémon has two abilites, there is a ratio of 2x3
3. If a Pokémon has one ability, there is a ratio of 1x6

Each team must be build in the same way, that means there are six different kinds of competitive templates the Pokémon must fulfil:

1. Physical Sweeper – Nature: Jolly – EV: 6HP/252Att,/252Init
2. Special Sweeper – Nature: Timid – EV: 6HP/252 Sp.Att,/252Init
3. Physical Wall – Nature: Impish/Bold – EV: 252HP, 252 Def., 6 Sp. Def.
4. Special Wall – Nature: Calm/Careful – EV: 252HP, 252 Sp. Def., 6 Def.
5. Physical Tank – Nature; Adamant – EV: 252 HP, 252 Att., 6 Def.
6. Special Tank –– Nature: Modest – EV: 252HP, 252 Sp. Att., 6 Sp. Def.

Each item is only allowed to be used once. The items should be chosen that fits the best for the needs of the combination of Pokémon and the specific template (e.g. Life Orb for Sweepers, Leftovers for walls, Assault Vest for tanks)
