1simple use a big jump back skill (Like the Winter Alice Mod skill) but this time use the Jump back on your enemy if you don't have lock on you will pass through them and deal damage then put yourself at a good distant so you can avoid their next attack.
with lock on you will stop right in front of them and your character will automatically turn around so that you're looking straight at them
I'm pretty sure this doesn't work on bosses since they won't let you pass through so for boss you should go for a diagonal attack
