Skills over Drama Degrees.
Here's a hard truth, the real world doesn't care about your drama degree. What's far more valuable, and also less expensive, is developing in-demand skills.
You may be wondering how developing skills is less expensive than a drama degree. Well, let's say you sign up for an 8-week acting course which costs 500 dollars. You've learned so much during the course. You feel more confident as an actor and have made close connections in the industry.
Now compare that to a 3-year drama degree where on average they cost around $80k to $300k, depending on the school you're going to. 85% of the time you're writing BS essays, that don't mean anything in the real world.
Keep in mind as of June 2023, Hecs Debt (in Australia) has increased by 7.1%.
Instead, go out there into the real world. Learn in-demand skills. Put yourself out there. Form close connections.
Most importantly NEVER stop learning.
