Upgraded 2 taillights from 12 volt incandescent to 12 volt red LED.

LED's - 9 quantity with a 1.8-2.2 voltage rating - eBay.com
Heat shrink - 3 pieces about 1-1/2 inches long
2 screws
4 jumper wire, short, about 1 inch long
2 diodes - in this video: used IN4002
500 ohm resistor
1000 ohm resistor

Tools/Supplies:

Soldering Iron
Solder - preferably lead based
Heat gun or lighter for heat shrink
Wire cutters/strippers
Cross tip (Philips) screw driver
Helping hands - optional but worth using
