Of all the dateable characters to choose from, Skye used to be my favorite all around pick. But after having dated everyone a couple times now, I’m kind of on the fence, all things considered. She’s definitely high on the list, being an attractive cosplayer who’s into video games and anime; a girl after my own heart. I get a little critical of her throughout this video, but hey. Nobody’s perfect, and with the problems surrounding Skye outlined in the video, they’re relatively small on a laundry list of things that could be affecting someone’s relationship with someone. Other than that, though, she’s a fairly typical nice girl that’s just a little nerdy with her interests. What’s not to like?

For as oblivious and carefree as Skye appears, she’s actually grappling with an underlying insecurity that she hides in plain sight throughout her daily life. Depending on the players interactions with Skye, she reveals to them what’s been troubling her. Everything else, the player can learn about through dialogue or infer based on subtle or not so subtle hints along the way.

In getting back to Amorous, I thought it would be pretty cool to branch out with and diversify what I could do with some of the footage I’ve already recorded but with my own commentary to match. I’m going to do a series, starting with this video, that will center on character analysis on a per-episode basis, with one big overview at the end and another for the game itself. I haven't forgotten about Amorous, just got a lot going on right now and am easily side-tracked between it all. Also coming down from a Left 4 Dead 2 addiction. =o

Burned the midnight oil last night and managed to complete this within a reasonable timeframe. Might make a TL:DR version sometime. I will freely admit, I kind of repeat myself here and there and cover the same ground at times, but there’s a reason for that. I decided to loosely follow the events of Skye’s dating tree to correlate dialogue or events to specific points or observations and speculation I had about Skye, from beginning to the end, with a summary and my personal thoughts on her at the end. Not my absolute best, but I’m still getting used to monologuing my thoughts through audio recordings through improv on the spot.


Anyway, hope you all like it for a first episode, because this will be the start of a series that I’ll follow through until I finish every dateable character. Hope me speaking calmly into the mic for about 23 minutes about the ins and outs of one particular character doesn’t put you all to sleep. Catch you next video!
