Some more information on the Support Playstyle is below!
Here's how they can fulfill this role:
Healing and Restoration: Support/defensive players excel at healing and restoring their teammates' health, allowing them to sustain longer engagements on the objectives. By keeping their team healthy and rejuvenated, they ensure a higher chance of successful captures and defenses.
Defensive Buffs and Shields: Support/defensive players can provide defensive buffs and shields to their teammates, enhancing their survivability and resilience during objective-focused engagements. This enables the team to endure enemy assaults and hold positions more effectively.
Area Denial and Crowd Control: Support/defensive players often possess abilities for area denial and crowd control. By utilizing abilities such as stuns, slows, or incapacitating effects, they can hinder enemy movements and disrupt their attempts to capture or defend objectives.
Objective Protection: Support/defensive players prioritize the protection of objectives. They can fortify positions with barriers, deployable shields, or traps, making it harder for enemies to infiltrate and capture the objectives. Their presence alone can deter opponents from approaching the area.
Reviving and Respawn Point Management: Support/defensive players can revive fallen teammates, ensuring that the team maintains a numerical advantage during objective-based battles. Additionally, they may have abilities to establish respawn points near objectives, allowing their team to quickly reinforce and continue the assault.
Objective Awareness and Communication: Support/defensive players actively monitor the state of objectives and communicate valuable information to their team. They provide updates on enemy movements, call out threats, and suggest strategic approaches to secure or defend objectives effectively.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Support/defensive players must adapt to different objective types and adjust their tactics accordingly. Whether it's capturing control points, escorting payloads, or defending key locations, they provide the necessary support and adapt their abilities to meet the specific objectives.
Overall, support/defensive players play a pivotal role in the Objective Playstyle. By healing, protecting, providing buffs, and controlling the battlefield, they enable their team to maintain control over objectives, increase their survivability, and secure victory in objective-based gameplay.
