As mentioned last time, our next goal is to jump into the Dark Brotherhood questline, both for its own sake as well as for the sake of finally finishing No Stone Unturned. However, there are a few things we need to take care of before diving in.

The first is making sure we've talked to all the NPCs that will end up being targets of Dark Brotherhood contracts. One part of the "100%" aspect of this playthrough is trying to show all NPC dialogue where possible. Once an NPC gets a contract on their head you no longer can engage in their normal dialogue - you only get the three Dark Brotherhood-specific options to say to them.

Now of course we've already talked to the vast majority of NPCs in the game, as one of the first things we did in this playthrough was visit every city and settlement in the game to meet and greet the locals. However, there are a couple we haven't gotten to yet due to their unique circumstances, which is what we'll take care of today.

The first is an Argonian named Deekus. He hangs out at Hela's Folly, a shipwreck on the northern part of the island where Yngvild is (the location we visited some time ago for the quest Toying with the Dead). Now he actually doesn't have anything to say to us when we get there, but we still visit him for completeness. We don't bother trying to loot the location just yet, as taking any of the items counts as stealing, so it will be much easier to do once he's dead.

The second NPC is the old woman Agnis who resides in Fort Greymoor. She's an unusual character in that she is a friendly NPC in the middle of a location otherwise populated with hostile bandits. So we head out to the plains of Whiterun Hold to liberate the fort so we can talk to her.

We fast travel to the Western Watchtower, it being the nearest location, and immediately run into quite the situation. As soon as we arrive not only do we get an attack my Miraak cultists, but a legendary dragon shows up to play as well. But ultimately these things are a mere distraction at best, and the large presence of guards only helps as well. Once everyone has been suitably murdered and looted for their temerity in attacking us, we head back to Whiterun to drop off the loot. We're still going solo, so we need as much space as possible to pick everything once we get inside the fort.

After quickly scouting the outer defenses, we go to our standard operating procedure of invisibly slitting the throats of every bandit. Once the outside has been pacified we move into the interior, and soon enough we leave Agnis with a large number of bloodstains to clean up after we leave. Agnis herself is quite interesting, apparently doing all the cooking and cleaning for the fort without any regard for who the current occupants are. She tells us that one morning she woke up and Orcs were running the place, but by nightfall vampires had taken over. It almost makes me regretful that we'll have to do her in later, but a contract is a contract.

We finish as usual back in Whiterun with a sort n' sell. Next time we're off to Windhelm to finish up a quest that ideally needs to be taken care of before Dark Brotherhood content can begin.
